Nicholas Waldron

Branch Head (Operational Experimentation), NATO Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation
Colonel Nicholas Waldron was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps in May 2000, and later earned his Naval Flight Officer Wings in 2002,
then designated an EA-6B Electronic Counter Measures Officer. Throughout his flying career, Colonel Waldron has amassed over 2500 flight hours, supporting 
multiple deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. 
Having earned every Instructor Qualification and Certification in the EA-6B, in 2008 and 2016, Colonel Waldron was selected to serve as an Instructor at 
Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, the Marine Corps’ premier Weapons School. In 2013, he was appointed as Officer in Charge of 
Marine Aviation Training Systems Site, Cherry Point, where he was responsible for all simulators and training systems for Marine Aircraft Group 14. 
In 2019, Colonel Waldron commanded Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron One at Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, where he was responsible for the 
Administrative and Logistics support to the First Marine Aircraft Wing Staff of over 500 personnel spanning the largest geographic Area of Responsibility in 
the Marine Corps. 
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Rochester, a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies with distinction from the US Naval War College, and a Master’s of Business Administration from New England College. 
Colonel Waldron is currently serving as NATO Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation, Mult-Domain Force Development Directorate Experimentation & Wargaming Branch Head.
